Commissioned by: The Scottish Development department as part of a project to improve Glasgow tenements.  The Scottish Arts Council funded a limited competition whereby six artists were invited to submit designs for two gable ends on Ancroft and Nansen Streets, Maryhill. Tim Armstrong ‘s designs were selected for both gable ends by the Scottish Development Department and Glasgow Corporation and local people living in the area.

Funded by: The Scottish Arts Council for the mural designs’ Blue Circle Group of the Cement Marketing Company donated the paint.

Painted by: Tim Armstrong; assisted by John Torjussen, Gregor Smith, Ken Mitchell, Jock McInnes, Barry Atherton and John Main.
